The deliveries made between the first serial number used [3006, a Universal sent to the Cornhill shop on 19 September 1872] and the last [23041, a Star sent direct to the India Office on 23 May 1901] are all listed on the 300 pre-printed facsimile pages from this factory book.
The entries, unfortunately, offer very few clues as to the customer. Most were sent to "C’hill" [the London shop, at 31 Cornhill from 1865-1880, and at 68 from 1881-1944]. Some went to “Phil” [to James W Queen & Co, Philadelphia, who were Beck’s US Agents c1870-1884]. A few went to "Ind.Off." [direct to the India Office, who bought a lot of Beck stands to supply the official Indian sub-continent requirements].
